uRAD-FO-MINI-IG Fiber-Optic Power Meter

This bundle combines a broadband Indium-Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) sensor with a miniature integrating sphere to provide simple and accurate measurements of the optical power (radiant flux) output from a fiber-optic source.  The system can also be used to measure fiber attenuation (dB/km) and interconnect losses (dB). The small sphere provides more efficient coupling of fiber to sensor for lower-power applications. The sphere's input port is compatible with various optional UDTi fiber-optic adaptors.

The system's power (radiant flux) calibration is programmed into the benchtop optometer. Measurement results are displayed by the optometer in units of Watts (W), and digital data can be acquired directly via PC. Attenuation and loss values may be calculated by comparing power readings, with results displayed in dB.

Alternative Solutions:

Variations of this system are available to meet a wide range of measurement needs. Alternative configurations may include bandpass or flat filters; Silicon and Germanium sensors; and various integrating sphere designs. A list of closely-related standard systems may also be found under the heading of Laser Test Solutions.
