The SLS 9400-FC tri-stimulus colorimeter consists of a color sensor and a handheld display unit.

The color sensor utilizes four extremely stable colored glass filters in conjunction with high quality silicon photodiodes. The resulting response of this combination accurately replicates the CIE X, Y, and Z standard observer functions. This precision allows the SLS 9400-FC's performance in both x,y or u',v' to be independent of the phospher set under test. The SLS 9400-FC compensates for any scan rate and works for all CRTs, even HDTV. The low profile suction cup allows for measurements into the corners of CRTs, where other larger sensors cannot reach. There's even a suction cup deactivation knob for applications where positive suction is not desired. The filters and the suction cup are housed in an ergonomically designed package with a nonslip scalloped grip. A standard 1/ 4-20 post mount is included for added mounting convenience.

The display unit is extremely simple to operate. All operations are performed by clearly marked menu selections. Measurements may be displayed in RGB graphical or CIE numerical mode with your choice of x y Y, u'v'Y, or X Y Z. Delta E as well as correlated color temperature are also displayed in the numerical mode. The 128 x 128 back-lit graphics display allows for large, easy-to-read digits. The SLS 9400-FC can be operated in one hand, leaving the other free to perform any required monitor adjustments. Its ergonomic design allows the unit to rest firmly on a table top. The tilted display and anti-reflection coated window guarantee high contrast and low glare. If measurements require low ambient light levels, simply turn on the integral backlight. A standard RS-232 interface is included to allow the SLS 9400-FC to be controlled via computer. The external battery charger connects to the side of the unit for easy recharging.

(59° F to 86° F).

Full Range: Measurements referenced to a laboratory standard traceable to both PTB & NIST over the full color gamut of a standard CRT.
