System S370 Single-Channel Laboratory Photometer

Add any UDT photometric sensor head to the System S370, and it becomes a powerful photometer. Its internal microprocessor prompts the user through each set-up and measurement parameter at the touch of a simple, 10-function keypad. And prompt functions and data are read on a prominent, 16-character LCD display.

The System S370 may also be controlled from a host computer via the IEEE-488 interface. Then, the measurement is programmed remotely, and the data sent, received, and viewed on the computer monitor. Up to 15 Model S370’s may be controlled at once with a single computer.

A unique, plug-in module permits storage of many calibrations. This EPROM is pre-programmed in UDT’ NIST-traceable metrology lab according to the user’s needs. Calibrations desired at a later date may be added without returning the instrument to the factory. Instead, another module, containing the new calibrations, is programmed and shipped to the user.

The S370 provides a number of versatile functions which eliminate tedious calculations. Measurements can be made in either the "Linear" or "Log" mode, and "Log Ratio" and "Ratio" functions permit comparison of sequential measurements. "Responsivity" permits the user to program the S370 for use with any calibrated sensor.
