Position-Sensing System Configuration Guide
A position-sensing amplifier (PSA) processes the signal produced by a position sensor and produces an output signal
correlated with position.
A position-sensing indicator (PSI) combines a position-sensing amplifier and display module in a single instrument,
in order to provide a direct positional readout.
Position Sensing Instrument Selection Table
| FEATURE | ANALOG /DIGITAL | PSI/PSA | # Channels | Sampling Frequency | Additional Features |
| 301DIV | A | PSA | 1 | 30 kHz |   |
| 501 | A | PSA | 2 | 1.5 MHz | Autorange; Autopolarity |
| 431 | A | PSI | 4 | 7-10 kHz | Autocollimator Power Supply |
